As predictable as the changing of the seasons are technology hype cycles that make people delighted and worried. Artificial intelligence is the topic of discussion this year.

The corporate world will either be automated away or saved by OpenAI's ChatGPT. The Lensa and Stable Diffusion applications will either kill the art industry or give newcomers with bold ideas access to a whole new universe of creativity. With every breakthrough, there will be just as many doubts and issues raised by these technologies as there are potential applications.

Fortunately, Web3, a different technical advancement, might steer AI in a more controllable and democratic path. Examining prior hype cycles for virtual and augmented reality (also known as VR and AR), which called for huge expenditures, sizable teams, and heavy gear, made it possible to discern the difference.

Even though Web3 has several major players, anybody may enter and have an influence. The same is true for AI as well, at least for now. These innovations work together to make technology more "multiplayer." And in particular, Web3 and AI are democratizing art by increasing the number of artists who can access it.

Accessible AI art tools make coding creation possible.

The legal battles between AI art applications and artists over the origins of the photos their tools were "trained" on and whether or not their tools make it simple to spam people or produce malware over the course of the next several years will be fascinating to watch (they do). The discussion will go on. Nonetheless, these technologies have quickly blended into the workflows of many producers. In less than five days, OpenAI jumped from having no users to having over a million.

Tools that make it easy to produce textual and graphic content rapidly are clearly in demand. Access to text-to-image applications is especially intriguing for authors who are brilliant at concepts and ideas but are not proficient painters. Being able to conceive your ideas will help you work with creative teams more quickly and produce stronger pitches. Projects may be built more quickly and for less money. The output of these photos may not be flawless, but it is adequate to present a concept in a straightforward, visual manner.

Although being in their infancy for public usage, AI art tools are being used to create some very lovely works. The Bestiary Chronicles employs artificial intelligence art to enhance unique stories written by Steve Coulson. A text-based video game created in ChatGPT by an 11-year-old went viral. Users of MusicLM may generate music from text. There are several "Seinfeld-like" shows available on Twitch.  ChatGPT will produce text using cat translations of human language cues. Even if you're a chatbot, unless you become a cat meme, you have no relevance in today's culture.

The capabilities of these technologies will be improved, regulated, and the long-term need for them will be determined, but they offer a promise: AI art tools enable creators to communicate their ideas more swiftly and affordably than ever before.

Web3 initiatives show users how to collaborate while creating. Web3 initiatives teach people how to co-create tales and productions in real time, whereas a solo artist may use AI art tools to make a work of art without partners.

These NFT initiatives for generative storytelling give each bearer a role and the power to influence the storyworld. DC Comics artists work in real time on various collections, such as the first Batman comic book series "Batman: The Heritage Cowl," depending on community voting. Because to CC0 licensing, other initiatives like Broadside enable collectors to write and produce their own in-world tales.

Similar to this, governance tooling offers a platform for people to jointly learn how to build. DAOs use Web3 technology to allow communal decision-making in order to direct the development of common tools, resources, and environments. It's obvious that two significant innovations are taking place, and when they intersect, very exciting things will happen, even though these community structures are also emergent and evolving alongside regulatory precedent.

You may now build your initial ideas quickly if you wish to put a concept into action. Use Web3 features like governance, generative storytelling, and tokenized ownership to start developing a project for what you've built.

It's intriguing to think about the possibilities for collaborative innovation as various technological categories co-develop. What will the narrative forms of the future look like with greater accessibility and participation? We could start collaborating more closely with one another as we start to collaborate more thoroughly with code.
