Over seven million Ethereum tokens have been trapped in liquid staking derivatives systems, according to data from Defillama.
The entire value of the assets that are currently locked on these platforms is close to $12 billion. The top three liquid staking platforms, which account for 95% of the market, dominate it.
The largest participant is Lido, which is in possession of approximately 5 million ETH worth at $8.7 billion and accounts for almost 70% of the frozen ETH.
With 1.1 million ETH invested, Coinbase is in second place, while the DeFi protocols Frax Ether and RocketPool collectively have about 500,000 ETH staked on their platforms.
