According to a press release on November 14, 2022, Trust wallet has introduced a new browser extension wallet that will support all EVM chains, including Solana.

The New Add-on Enhances the Trust Wallet Mobile Version

A wallet plugin for browsers has been made available by Trust Wallet, a supplier of multi-chain and self-custodial wallets. According to the article, Trust Wallet's mobile wallet, one of the most widely used cryptocurrency wallets with more than 60 million downloads and more than 10 million monthly active users worldwide, would be complemented by the new browser extension.

The launch of the new extension is seen by the corporation as a way to support the growth of Web3 and its properties. Additionally, consumers will enjoy a seamless experience on both the desktop and mobile versions of the new product and the current mobile wallet. Trust Wallet's CEO, Eowyn Chen, discussed:

“Our users’ number 1 request is the Browser extension, and they want one with the same good user experience as the Trust Wallet mobile app and the multi-chain coverage. We build for users to empower them, whichever device they prefer, to continue to access the exciting dApps on different chains. This is our initial step, and we will listen to users’ and developers’ feedback to improve.”

Extension's Important Features

Users of the multi-chain product will have a seamless user experience thanks to the Trust wallet extension. To ensure a smooth dApp experience where numerous chains can be added automatically in real-time, a Network Auto-Detect functionality will be added. The functionality will also make it simple for consumers to discover new products outside of centralized exchanges (CEXs), like Web3 games, the metaverse, DeFi, tokens not offered on CEXs, and more.

Users will be able to store and exchange more than 8 million tokens using the new solution on all EVM chains, including ETH, BNB, Polygon, and Solana. Users will now be able to build more EVM chains thanks to a bespoke feature.

In the near future, Trust Wallet intends to include more non-EVMs. The browser extension will also support the features of the current mobile apps, including swaps, staking, and NFT storage.

More mobile wallet capabilities, such as multi-wallet support, NFT support, fiat on-ramp providers, and interfaces with non-EVM blockchains, will reportedly be added to the desktop extension, according to Trust Wallet. Furthermore, the extension will provide unique features like support for hardware wallets. Along with other browsers, the Trust Wallet desktop plugin supports Chrome, Brave, and Opera.

According to Coingecko data, the Trust Wallet native token has increased by 47% during the last 24 hours. Many believe that the CEO of Binance, Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, made remarks regarding the value of self-custody in his remarks, which basically encouraged people to utilize the Trust wallet and fueled the token's ascent.

As investors reconsider how to protect their assets in the wake of the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX and the following attack that stole $600 million worth of coins from its wallets, Zhao is pushing for self-custody.

TWT, the native token of Trust Wallet, is currently trading at $2.36 and has a 24-hour trading volume of $643,919,485.
