Polygon (MATIC), like the majority of the top 10 cryptocurrencies, is up today. According to data from the cryptocurrency market monitoring website CoinMarketCap, the value of MATIC has increased by 1.51% in the last day, putting it at $0.9276. Over the same time frame, the alternative currency managed to hit a high of $0.9486 and a low of $0.912.

MATIC has had a fantastic few days, as the cryptocurrency is up more than 8% over the past week. Additionally, MATIC was able to gain ground against the two biggest cryptocurrencies on the market, Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC), by around 1.19% and 0.57%, respectively.
However, MATIC's 24 hour trading volume is in the red and is now at $332,756,311 after declining by more than 21% from the previous day.
With a market valuation of $8,096,345,989, MATIC completes the list of the top ten largest cryptocurrencies available. The altcoin now occupies the ninth position, directly behind Cardano (ADA), and the eleventh position, ahead of Polkadot (DOT).
Michael van de Poppe, a well-known cryptocurrency trader and analyst, stated in a Tweet he published on December 2 that he thinks MATIC is showing some strength.

In addition, Van de Poppe said that if $0.84 provides a long, he thinks MATIC may be aiming for $1 or perhaps higher in the following days. The expert said in his post's conclusion that MATIC might potentially attempt a retest of the $1.30 level.
