Play-to-earn is a concept in video games where players are rewarded for completing various in-game tasks and objectives, such as unlocking hidden items and winning tournaments. This concept is usually found in blockchain-based games, where players can earn cryptocurrency and NFTs with real-world value. NFTs that can be earned in play-to-earn games include skins, real estate, characters. Players can then either sell or trade the item as they like. The rarer the item, the higher its value.
